From a passion, a B&B in the heart of Lecce Baroque
My name is Gianni, and Attico Barocco was born from my deep bond with Salento, the land where I grew up. I opened this place in 2016 with my family, driven by a simple idea: to offer visitors not just a bed, but the warmth of a home and the care of those who live here every single day.
You won't find an impersonal reception desk or a call centre. You'll find a real person, always available, who greets you at check-in with a coffee or a glass of wine and checks in with you each morning to make sure you have everything you need.
Our approach to hospitality
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all service. Every guest has their own pace, interests and needs. That's why I built a personal digital guide — a website and app our guests use to discover restaurants away from the tourist traps, hidden beaches, bus timetables for exploring Salento, and everything else you need to experience the city like a local.
I love recommending places, booking a dinner table, explaining where to park in the ZTL (restricted traffic zone), or simply chatting on the panoramic terrace as the sun sets over the rooftops of Lecce. Our goal is simple: we want you to feel at home, not like a booking number.
Why this location is special
Attico Barocco is located at Via Giacomo Matteotti 25, in the very heart of Lecce's historic centre, just steps from the Basilica of Santa Croce. From the shared terrace — and from the private terrace of the King Superior Oro room — you can enjoy a view that few other B&Bs in the city can offer: the baroque rooftops, the colours of the sunset, and the façade of the Basilica of Santa Croce.
We are inside a pedestrian ZTL zone: this means the street below us is quiet, with no traffic noise or smog. Yet the moment you step outside, you are in the thick of it: the Roman Amphitheatre, Piazza Sant'Oronzo, the Duomo, Charles V Castle and the Villa Comunale are all within a few minutes' walk. And if you want to explore Salento, Gallipoli, Otranto and Porto Cesareo are all easy day trips.

Before you arrive: breakfast & parking
We know these are the two most searched topics. For full transparency: breakfast is not included in the room rate, but we have an agreement with the café right next door (15% discount for our guests) and the common lounge always has tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh fruit available.
For parking, as we are in a ZTL, cars cannot enter our street: we will guide you to the best options, from a nearby partner garage to budget-friendly lots with a free shuttle. All details are on our Useful Info page.
